Understanding what qualifies as good nutrition can get quite complicated in an age where there is so much conflicting information available at our finger tips. As we become more aware of the influence that good quality food has on our health and take more responsibility for our own role in eating well, we can either learn and grow from personal experience or get caught in a state of confusion. For every argument telling that food is good for you, you are likely to find an opposing argument convincing you to banish it completely from your diet; so what do we believe?
This is where it is helpful to delve a little deeper into the topic, break it down to some basic common sense, and then make up your own mind. It is important to remember that information presented on hot topics in food are often over generalized and there is usually more to the story than meets the eye.
Whilst some health principles are across the board we have to take responsibility for how what we eat effects us as an individual and note what makes us perform optimally. Ultimately, the best nutrition knowledge can only be gained through the experience of trial and error.
